Lucy Lu

Lucy Lu is a Chinese-Canadian artist and photographer based in Toronto. Lu spent the first seven years of her life in Xi'an, China. Her photographic interests are focused on exploring cultural identity. She has developed a fascination with personal histories, storytelling and how real and imaginary narratives form our lives.

“I created these images with the intention of referencing the passing of time, and the temporality of an image, and of life itself. Prints are made on Japanese paper to emphasize fragility. The folds within the image emulate our veins, soft and precious things that nourish us and gives us life”.
